Description
UMI SAN was contracted to supply 4 submersible articulated buoys (BAS), as well as to install them in the Contunduba Channel, the main waterway access to the Port of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to the buoys, UMI SAN supplied 4 AIS-equipped lanterns.
After the installation, large vessels were allowed to enter and leave at night, reducing the delay by 8 hours for 50% of vessels accessing the Port of Rio de Janeiro, increasing the competitiveness of the terminal.
