Salvage

UMI SAN was hired to salvage a series of pipes abandoned on the seabed by a dredging company. The activities were carried out over a period of 7 months, using a tugboat, Multicat Açu and a diving team.

This work represented a great challenge, since some of the pipes were silted up, but the Multicat Açu, a vessel equipped to lift up to 150 tons, managed to lift these pipes with weight, successfully completing the project.

After removal, the pipes were stored in a landfill, in an area indicated by Anglo American.
