Development, assembly, implementation and maintenance of nautical signage

UMI SAN was responsible for developing all of the nautical signaling projects for the Port of Açu, as well as supplying Submersible Articulated Buoys (BAS), in addition to assembling, installing and maintaining the nautical signaling to this day. By using these buoys, the Port of Açu has avoided spending millions of reais on dredging, since the BAS precisely demarcate the navigable channel, unlike floating buoys, which have a larger turning radius, requiring dredging along the radius of influence.

Another development at the Port of Açu was navigation using double gates, with pairs of buoys every 2 miles. In this arrangement, the ship's captain sees 2 pairs of buoys ahead, visualizing the navigable channel, similar to the lighting at an airport.
